詹先生1956年出生, 台灣大學經濟系畢業。詹先生是台灣雜誌和出版集團電腦家庭出版集團城邦文化事業股份有限公司之創辦人。詹氏擁有超27年媒體工作經驗, 詹氏曾任職於聯合報、國時報、遠流出版公司、滾石唱片、中華電視台、商業週刊等。詹先生於各媒體擔任總編輯及社長期間, 曾策劃或編輯超過千種書刊。

詹先生是台灣名作家、電影人、編輯及出版人, 並以其創意和對文化趨勢及社會經濟問題的精闢見解及而備受尊重。他的11本著作包括小說評論和社會趨勢報告: 趨勢索隱、城市觀察、趨勢報告、創意人、城市人、兩種文學心靈、閱讀的反叛等多種。詹先生曾策劃和監製9部電影包括: 悲情城市、戲夢人生、牯嶺街少年殺人事件等。

詹先生分別是台北市雜誌同業公會、台灣資訊網絡學會和台灣企劃人協會的理事或監事。他於1977獲台灣People Magazine頒發鑽石獎章。

Born in 1956, Hung-Tse Jan is a graduate of University of Taiwan. Mr Jan is the founder of Taiwan's magazine and publishing group, PC Home Publishing Group, and Taiwan book publisher, Cite Publishing Ltd. He has over 27 years of experience in the Taiwan media industry, working for major media businesses including United Press, China Times Group, Rock Records, CTS, Yuan Liao Publishing and Business Weekly. In his role either as editor-in-chief or publisher, he planned and worked on over a thousand books.


Mr Jan is one of the best-known Taiwan writer, opinion leader, filmmaker, editor and publisher. He is highly-regarded for his creatively and insightful views on cultural trends and socio-economic issues. He is the author of 11 books including novels and social commentaries and analysis as well as producer of 9
movies.


He holds directorship of a number of Taiwan print and information industry associations. Mr Jan was awarded the Diamond Personality Award of 1997 by People Magazine in Taiwan.
